Intensive In-Community Services are flexible, multi-purpose, in-home/community clinical support for parents/caregivers/guardians and children/youth with behavioral and emotional disturbances.  The purpose of these interventions is to strengthen the family, to provide family stability and to preserve the family constellation in the community setting.  These services are flexible both as to where and when they are provided based on the family’s needs  This family-driven treatment is based on targeted needs as identified in the ISP/ICP/treatment plan.  The ISP/ICP/treatment plan also includes specific interventions with target dates for accomplishment of goals that focus on the restorative functioning of the child/youth with the intention of family preservation.

Behavioral AssistantBehavioral Assistant

Behavioral Assistance services are specific, comprehensive plan of care. Behavioral Assistance is a dynamic process of intervention designed to target specific behaviors that are interfering with a child/youth’s functioning. It includes ongoing evaluation resulting in effective modification of a child/youth’s identified behavior's. They are components of an approved, written, detailed individualized behavioral assistance plan of care prepared by a licensed clinical behavioral health care practitioner. The goal of Behavioral Assistance services involve applying positive behavioral principles within the community using culturally based norms to foster adaptive outcomes to enhance a child/youth’s behavior and/or attitude by developing and strengthening skills.

Mentors Behavioral Assistant

The goal of our Mentors is to assist children successfully modeling behavior for positive outcomes . Mentors will provide help and support in a non-threatening way. It is important that the mentors appreciate and empower clients to move forward with confidence to achieve desired goals. Mentors are usually provided for children between the ages of 7 and 17, with a carefully screened adult role model who is 21 years or older.



OutpatientBehavioral Assistant

ITAF practices outpatient therapy in an office setting as well as in offices of our providers. Our trained therapist will travel to your office to meet the needs of your clients. We have several areas of expertise that best fits the clients needs. At ITAF, we practice psychotherapy, a general term used in describing treatment of mental and emotional disorders by talking about your condition and related issues with a mental health professional. It's also known as talk therapy, counseling, psychosocial therapy or, simply, therapy.

Group TherapyBehavioral Assistant

At ITAF, we provide a number of psychotherapy groups for the purpose of improving behavior. We create unique groups topic which addresses behavioral issues as well as provides a structured environment for fostering change. Our groups consist of approximately 6-10 individuals in a face-to-face group setting. Members are encouraged to give feedback to others. Feedback includes expressing your own feelings about what someone says or does. Interaction between group members are highly encouraged and provides each person with an opportunity to try out new ways of behaving; it also provides members with an opportunity for learning more about the way they interact with others. It is a safe environment in which members work to establish a level of trust that allows them to talk candidly and honestly. Group members make a commitment to the group and are instructed that the content of the group sessions are confidential.
